Who is the featured artist of a band if there was no band agreement in place upon recording music?

Typically bands have written or oral band partnership agreements to avoid disputes like this, and also typically, each band member is an equal partner in the band's contractual transactions and in ownership and control of assets like the band's name/trademark.
Then there are artists like Bruce Springsteen, who write all their own music themselves and do all the lead vocals and lead guitars. That kind of artist hires other musicians to be his band, and they're salaried. Here, if your band's lead singer is acting like the other band members are his session musicians, then he should have paid those musicians for their work.
How your band is structured isn't clear. You're best off consulting a music/entertainment lawyer for help.
