            Started exchange program with several large firms in Denver which entailed the firms supplying the City with attorneys at no cost to the city in exchange for trial training which I supervised.

Business litigation, securities litigation, White Collar criminal defense in both state and federal court. Medical malpractice for plaintiffs and defendants. Handled numerous injured baby cases including heart transplant case that resulted in confidential settlement and reorganization of hospital’s child heart transplant section. Also have handled numerous medical malpractice cases involving various patient injuries and deaths involving allegations of patient care neglect in  hospitals, surgery and medication error cases. Represented University of Colorado in various matters as outside counsel. Have successfully  represented hospital CEO in Kansas in a complicated patient care matter.

Defended nurses from St. Anthony North in Colorado  charged with criminally negligent homicide of an infant. Case involved allegations of nursing negligence, medication error, pharmacy error. Case proceed to trial with one nurse who I represented  acquitted.

Numerous trials in various states lasting up to 4 weeks including  trials involving pharmacy,  physicians issues, nursing issues.   Represented the largest compounding pharmacy in U.S.  involving the FDA’s attempts to regulate state compounding. Case went criminal. Most of the charges were dismissed before and during trial. The case was reversed on appeal and we were able to settle the matter with the U.S. Attorney’s office in Colorado.

Represent physicians in various civil, peer review matters, and litigation and contract issues. Very familiar with Emergency room issues including EMTALA. Recently obtained verdict and settlement against Major Hospital chain  and physicians involved in defamation of surgeon by manufacturing false allegations and presenting those allegations to a peer review committee. Complicated peer review issues involved in two appeals before obtaining  verdict and eventual settlement.

Within last two weeks  invited to join National trial lawyers Association “Top One Hundred Attorneys”

The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state in the nation who meet stringent qualifications as civil plaintiff and/or criminal defense trial lawyers. Selection is based on a thorough multi-phase process which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile.

Invited to teach at University of Colorado Health Science Program in their Executive Master Program in Health Law.

Adjunct Professor: Program directed to hospital CEO’s,  physicians and medical persons in achieving background in all aspects of Health Care Management to enter into CEO, CFO positions. Taught in program for four years.

Created course materials and program for Health care Law directed to addressing various health care issues facing Hospitals, Physicians, and Nurses in clinic practice.

Adjunct professor at Regis College business Law approximately 8 years.

Speaker at Annenburg Foundation  involving the issues related to the acquittal of nurse charged with criminally negligent homicide.

Made presentation at various nursing programs on nursing issues.
