Lauren Nagel Richardson

Lauren Richard has practiced law in Gainesville for more than 29 years. She has focused her practices in areas where she can help families during some of their most difficult times: when a loved one has died, or is injured, incapacitated, or has special needs. Lauren has handled hundreds of probate estates in more than 50 Florida counties. Her probate, estate planning, and trust administration practice is Statewide. Lauren has worked with hundreds of families to prepare customized estate plans, taking the time to gather information about assets and goals to make sure that her advice leads to a comprehensive estate plan. Probate avoidance, guardianship avoidance, estate and gift tax minimization, and detailed instructions for how to update beneficiary designations or fund a trust are just some of the issues that are addressed in a comprehensive estate plan. Lauren also advises clients across Florida when marriage plans are on the horizon. She is experienced in advising clients who need a prenuptial agreement or postnuptial agreement to protect their wealth before or during marriage.

Lauren works with other lawyers in the community to improve the guardianship process, assist in a wrongful death or nursing home abuse case, coordinate the opening of probate estates or guardianships in such cases, and is always willing to take calls from potential clients to discuss their cases in detail. Lauren has lived in Gainesville, Florida for 32 years and has two grown children. Lauren is active in local bar association, civic, and cultural organizations. When Lauren is not working hard at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family in the mountains, traveling, collecting art, and participating in AKC events with her dogs.
