Biography
Evan M. Kirshenbaum has been practicing law at Kirshenbaum Law Associates since his graduation from law school in 1994. He had been a senior partner of the firm since 1999 and is currently Managing Partner. Mr. Kirshenbaum provides representation in all aspects of divorce, family law, accident and personal injury law. He has served as the Deputy Solicitor for the city of Cranston and is currently the attorney for the Cranston City Council.
Mr. Kirshenbaum, an experienced trial lawyer, has submitted numerous briefs to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. He has argued successfully before the state’s highest court as well as before juries in the Superior Court. Evan Kirshenbaum was featured in the Verdict Reporter and the Rhode Island Association for Justice News Magazine for a personal injury verdict award of more than seven times the settlement offer.
Mr. Kirshenbaum has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review, the highest rating given for ability and ethical standards, reflecting his expertise, experience, integrity, and overall professional excellence. Mr. Kirshenbaum provides continuing education for Rhode Island family law attorneys, paralegals, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and guardians ad litem. He lectures and provides reference sources on child custody and visitation, handling divorce cases from start to finish, guiding clients to favorable outcomes and the Divorce Law Guide from A to Z, for the National Business INstitute's continuing Legal education series. He has served on the faculty for a seminar on Advanced Family Law for the National Business Institute and has been a guest lecturer at Brown University,
Mr. Kirshenbaum has served as City Solicitor, Deputy City Solicitor, and Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cranston. He has served on many city and state committees representing the interests of the people of Rhode Island. He has been quoted numerous times in the Providence Journal and other publications on various areas of law. Currently, he represents the Cranston City Council in all legal matters.
