In order to win sometimes you have to be unconventional and aggressive, and never give up, even if that makes people (even judges) angry. The key quality of a lawyer is being willing to buck the system and take the heat.

Outstanding Legal Representation by Paul Croushore, JD, LLM

I had the privilege of working with Paul Croushore on a recent legal matter, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with his expertise and strategic approach. Paul's brilliant legal strategy was pivotal in getting our case dismissed, leading to a successful outcome in the U.S. District Court ...for the Southern District of Ohio. Paul represented us in a complex copyright infringement case brought against us by Growella, Inc., a mortgage company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growella, represented by John Bennett from Frost Brown Todd, alleged that we, Phillip Ganz and other defendants, had infringed on their copyrighted content related to the home buying and mortgage process. Despite the plaintiff's strong representation, Paul immediately recognized the critical issue of personal jurisdiction and strategically focused on this point. Paul filed a Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Personal Jurisdiction, meticulously arguing that Growella's claims did not meet the required legal standards to establish jurisdiction in Ohio. His arguments were clear, compelling, and backed by a deep understanding of the relevant legal principles. He expertly navigated the complexities of both the Zippo test and the Effects test, demonstrating that Growella had failed to show that our actions were purposefully directed at Ohio residents or that our website targeted Ohio more than any other state【6†source】. Judge Matthew W. McFarland agreed with us in every respect, dismissing the lawsuit by Growella. Paul argued that, based on case law, transfer or dismissal was the appropriate course of action. While he acknowledged that transfer could be considered if deemed appropriate, he did not request it. Moreover, Bennett opposed the transfer, so the judge dismissed the case outright. This decision was a complete victory, as the judge agreed with Paul on every facet of the argument. Thanks to Paul's efforts, Growella, Inc.'s complaint was dismissed without prejudice, and the case was terminated from the court's docket【5†source】【6†source】. Attached is a copy of the judge’s decision. This victory over Growella, Inc. and their counsel, John Bennett of Frost Brown Todd, is a direct result of Paul's legal acumen, thorough preparation, and strategic foresight. His ability to anticipate the opposition's arguments and counter them effectively was invaluable. Throughout the process, Paul kept us informed and confident in our legal standing. I highly recommend Paul Croushore, JD, LLM, to anyone in need of exceptional legal representation. His dedication, expertise, and strategic brilliance are truly unmatched.

Advocacy of Justice for Humanity

Dear Reader, I was humbled when Dr. Croushore accepted my case. Please allow me to explain. I believe that many would have looked down me, not accepted my case, Or charged me Over Abundantly in attorney’s fees simply on, prima facie (at first glance), due to the nature of my convictions wi...thout hearing the full details. Dr. Croushore, however, impartially heard my pleas for assistance, looked beyond the superficial elements of my case and represented me in an extraordinary fashion. It was a rare privilege to have Dr. Croushore represent me as an advocate of Justice for Humanity. My family and I thank Dr. Croushore for his extraordinary efforts, tenacity for details and fortitude to stand up for what is right. Respectfully, J.Roper

The BEST Attorney in the Tri-State

Paul came highly recommended, from several attorney friends. After I lost a 7 year court battle, that should have never been filed with 2 Big Cincinatti Law Firms, I hired Paul to handle my Appeal of this 7 year nightmare . Mr. Croushore understood, right away, where my previous 4 attorneys made... grave errors in my initial defense. Paul quickly put my mind at ease when he identified several major errors my previous defense made, during my initial consultation. After 3 months working with Paul Croushore, he argued my case in front of the judge and had the judge reverse the previous decision, ending my 7 year battle VICTORIOUSLY!!! I can’t emphasize enough how brilliant of a lawyer Mr. Croushore is! In my opinion, Paul is one of the best and brightest attorneys in the Tri-State. If needed, I would hire Paul again, in a heartbeat! Absolutely the BEST!!!

I am pleased to report that on June 10, 2020, the Hamilton County Court of Appeals agreed with me. In case C-190406 it held that a judge can properly reconsider his decisions until a final order is filed, and that he properly construed the law and applied the correct standard for determining that a settlement agreement contract which uses present tense means that all claims existing at the time of the agreement are settled. The Court of Appeals also held that the trial judge properly denied the other side's attorney fee claim for over $50,000.

Excellent Representation

I hired Paul to help me with an appeal. His ability to very quickly grasp a complicated case that had already been going on for years was amazing and reassuring. I am not a fan of lawyers after what happened to me and Paul helped restore my faith in the legal profession.

On appeal the 12th District Court of Appeals agreed with me that “there remained disputed genuine issues of material fact as to whether the association's attorney expended hours on unnecessary work and whether any unnecessary work was caused by the association or the association attorney's failure to cooperate and communicate directly with the owner to resolve the dispute over the unpaid assessments.” It reversed the trial court's decision; on remand I was able to successfully settle the dispute during the hearing, saving substantial attorney fees.

Added value to the discussion

My family had discussed the very thing he added to my initial question without knowing we even had that discussion. It was timely, effective and greatly appreciated because it was the part we were still questioning about the same concerns that encouraged us to reach out for legal advice in the first ...place. Wonderful! Thank you again!

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2006.

Reciprocal - Discipline issued in IN, 2006

updated on 12/08/2015

This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state,or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Indiana.

Paul’s comment:

“Reciprocal discipline to Ohio.”

Placed On Probation issued in OH, 2006

updated on 12/08/2015

Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Paul’s comment:

“I represented an accountant who was my C.P.A. In 2000 I fired him and sued him for defrauding me. The jury found him to have defrauded me, to be incompetent as my accountant, and to have tried to blackmail me. Shortly before trial he filed a disciplinary complaint; Disciplinary Counsel found no substance to the complaint, but asked for my records; I did not have my trust account records. I admitted that I failed to properly maintain custody of the records.”
