I spent the first two years of my legal career in criminal defense as a public defender and defending my clients' constitutional rights remains a passion of mine. Since leaving public defense work, I have practiced primarliy in commercial litigation, both in defense and prosecution of claims. I am licensed to practice in all state courts in Louisiana and Kentucky, and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Eastern District of Kentucky. I earned my J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. I have a B.A. in English Literature from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and an M.A. in English Literature from Morehead State University. Prior to my career in law, I was a high school English and journalism teacher.

"I went to law school with Mark and witnessed first hand his passion for criminal defense. I'm glad that the defense bar has his skill and talent back in New Orleans!"
"Mark's passion for criminal and constitutional law is outpace only by his knowledge. Mark has a keen mind and a disarming manner which makes him an effective communicator both in and out of the court room. I can state without hesitation that Mark's concern for his clients is genuine. If it were myself or my child who had run afoul of the law in any way, I would absolutely want Mark in my corner."
"Mark is an excellent attorney. He's thorough, and readily grasps complex legal issues. If you are looking for a high quality attorney, you need look no further."
