Margie and I moved to Huntington Beach in 1987. I spent 26 years as an engineer for the Navy (civil service) and became an attorney in 1984.
My practice is estate planning, conservatorships, probate, bankruptcy, real property, incorporation, contract writing and interpretation. I have done a number of trials.
I teach Wills and Trusts at Trinity Law School and have taught Environmental Law.
To help the public, I am active in a group of amateur radio operators (RACES) trained and ready to provide communications in case of earthquake, fire or flood. I was Cubmaster of Pack 506, and am a committee member of Boy Scout Troop 568. My two sons are Eagle Scouts.

Very helpful. His advice has proved accurate.
Alan gave me good, thoughtful advice on avvo.com. People, we need to support lawyers who have the right spirit about people and knowledge of the law. Please give Alan your consideration when it comes to hiring a lawyer.

I used Mr. Armstrong a few years ago.
He is excellent! All of his advice and knowledge proved to be true. He isn't expensive and I believe he will work for you and with you. I can't promise this but in my case he would take my calls and he was always right and giving of his valuable time.

Unprofessional lack of follow up
During my initial consultation regarding estate planning I was handed forms to complete and return to office. While attempting to complete forms I had questions. Four telephone messages were left and not one call was returned.
I apologize. I have had a backlog of work that I am working to clear up. I hope to do much better this year.

"I have read many of Mr. Armstrong's responses to posts pertaining to bankruptcy issues. His responses are accurate and practical. I endorse this lawyer."
"I endorse this lawyer. Why? Because as a person filing bankruptcy , you don't know what type of attorney you are meeting with usually if no background checks. This attorney provides accurate and detailed answers to Avvo debtors..which shows he has the knowledge and expertise to provide you accurate information. All of us attorneys know attorneys we would never refer a family member to and others who we would refer them to. You should want this type of attorney so you know you are taken care of. I suggest you discuss your case with him first; you can always obtain a second opinion but I am confident you wont want to. You can learn your options with him, which one to take and why, and who to pay between now and then. His answers demonstrate his knowledge of the law. For those reasons, I endorse him!"
"I know Alan through professional organizations. He is reserved and thoughtful, and he advises his clients through the worst of times, that is, death and financial crisis."
"Mr. Armstrong is a highly skilled, diligent and knowledgeable attorney who is well-known in the legal community for his outstanding professionalism.
