Prior to joining Ahlers & Cressman, Ellie spent six years litigating with a boutique Seattle trial firm and clerked for the Honorable Joel M. Penoyar at the Washington State Court of Appeals.
Ellie has been named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law and Politics, an award limited to the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40, in 2014 and 2015.
Ellie is a member of the William L. Dwyer Inn of Court and an active member of the community. She was on the Washington Women Lawyers' Board of Directors; has presented at the WSBA Construction Law Annual Seminar and to numerous industry groups (the National Association of Women in Construction, National Electrical Contractors Association); and she is the co-author of the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual, Construction Law Chapter.
Ellie is also deeply committed to social justice. As a pro bono attorney for the Volunteer Advocates for Immigrant Justice, she obtained permanent residency for an undocumented Guatemalan child on the basis of neglect and abandonment. Prior to law school, she worked at PATH, an international health organization aimed at improving global health, especially among women and children.
