Nothing short of excellent!

I really love this lawyer. She’s flat out amazing. I was/am a dad that immediately felt like I’d be chugging uphill to gain custody of my child once divorce loomed. Fiza took the time to hear me, to look through the evidence I presented, and she was there EVERY step of the way. She was constantly a t...ext or an email away. I looked at other attorneys prior to retaining Fiza. I’m glad that’s all I did. Fiza is an absolute rockstar! You won’t go wrong choosing Fiza to represent you!

Believe the negative reviews

I did my research on different lawyers and decided to hire her. What a joke and waste of time. Completely dissatisfied with her services. Frank was helpful and explained the process so he was mainly the reason why I hired them. After paying the retainer fee I should’ve known that it would be a hassle... to get the divorce and custody moving along. Every meeting I’ve had with Fiza she’s been late. I’ve had to e-mail, text, call, not just her but also her team to get a hold of someone. I was told there was a process server involved and when I called the court to find out the documents mysteriously had been “lost by the court” and she had to “file them all over again”. The documents were filed and finally the papers were served, and we were supposed to set a date for mediation and no date has been set as of yet. This was supposed to happen in January. We are now in October and I’m still trying to get a hold of her by e-mail, calls, and texts and there’s no response. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

My Top Choice

I had already googled attorneys in Houston before I found the AVVO site. I first checked on the one that I was wanting to use because he was the only one that gave me a flat rate. I knew I couldn't afford his fee anyway, but I had been told by several attorneys that a child support modification, was ...too complicated for me to do by myself. When I looked him up on AVVO, I was grateful that I was not able to come up with the money. I started searching for the best reviewed attorneys and found Fiza. I was impressed with all of her reviews and that she had won the people's choice award for 2017. I knew that she was my choice after reading through about 70 different attorney reviews. I knew I could not afford her, (or anyone else), but I felt like if I don't call, I am assured of not getting help. The worst that could happen if I do call is they tell me I can't afford them. I called the office just a few minutes before they closed and as 5 pm passed on a Friday, I figured I would have to wait until Monday to hear back, but I left a VM anyway. I was stunned when about 5:15 I received a call back from Frank Gonzalez. Frank spent at least 25 minutes on the phone with me and gave me helpful tips and instructed me on exactly what forms I would need and where to find them for free, and what to expect from the other side and how to respond. I took a page of notes and he took the time to text me links. I am going to follow his advice and do my best to do this on my own. I am expecting to be homeless in November, and that will create new uncharted challenges for me, but thanks to Frank's advice, I feel hopeful. Thank you Frank for the time you spent with me and the information you provided. I have already looked at it and will soon be working on it. I wish you and Fiza well and thanks to AVVO that I even found you.

Confident and determined

Consultation with FRANK GONZALEZ was VERY Helpful and l have better understanding now as to what will happen in my case...he answered all my questions and made me feel VERY comfortable confident and determined at the same time about my case.I highly recommend them in any case ....
