Dennis Powell is so amazing, me and my family where struggling to find a lawyer who would look at our case and really put there heart into it. It was great working with Dennis. I have a family member who needed a criminal defense lawyer to handle a case that I thought was unfair to my relative. I suspected that my relative was only charged with an offense because he not from the town where he was charged, and he's young. But Dennis didn't... talk about it that way. He was totally professional, without being stuffy or arrogant. He just stuck with the evidence, and worked to understand why the police officer brought the charges. Dennis communicated with my relative and me very clearly and often, and really gave my relative a sense of security that his case was in good hands. The case was in a small town Texas court, and we were concerned that we didn't have a chance, because my relative is from one of the bigger Texas cities. When we went to court, Dennis communicated very effectively with the court staff, the prosecutor and the judge. You would have thought that he was from the same small town as they were. He handled the technical legal aspects very competently, assessing the evidence accurately for the judge and prosecutor, in a way that made them conclude that the case should be dismissed. A great outcome. But I suspect that there are other attorneys who might not have gotten the same good result if they used the wrong communication style. With Dennis, everyone was at ease and speaking plainly and openly. No games. It was very impressive. I hope I never need a criminal defense lawyer. But if I do, I'm sure I'll call Dennis.

Dennis is a rare breed of lawyer who truly wants the best for his client. He helped me in the most difficult period of my life and got the best outcome possible. Let me add, that I was in fact guilty of the charges against me. But Dennis patiently worked with prosecutors and helped explain the spe...cial circumstances involved and was able to reach a very fair outcome for me. In my case, that was a deferred sentence on my charges. He also helped me make sure I complied with all the terms the court set for me and I can can proudly say that I now have NO CONVICTION on my record! Additionally, I spoke to many other attorneys and Dennis' fees were very fair. I would have paid more because when your freedom is in jeopardy, it is NOT the time to be seeking a bargain lawyer who will never return your calls! Dennis is the BEST!
